FAQ
Straight answers for German companies considering software engineering in the Philippines, plus how Axesscom works.
Is outsourcing to the Philippines GDPR-compliant?
Yes, when structured correctly. We work with EU clients under data processing agreements, documented subprocessors and access controls. Personal data stays in agreed regions where required, and we align with your privacy and security policies before production access.
Which company will invoice us?
Contracts and invoices are issued by Axesscom Philippines Inc., our Philippine operating company located in the Clark Freeport Zone. This enables a highly competitive commercial model for international customers and may provide tax or VAT advantages depending on your local regulations.
How well do your teams communicate in English and German?
English is deeply established in the Philippines, and many Filipinos communicate in English from kindergarten onward. Daily project communication is in English. Your dedicated team joins your standups, Slack or Teams channels and writes documentation in the language your organisation uses. German-speaking contacts on our side support commercial, legal and strategic topics for German clients.
How much overlap do you have with German business hours?
The time difference between Germany and the Philippines is six to seven hours, depending on daylight saving time. Teams are scheduled for meaningful overlap with Central European working hours, typically four to six hours per day. Core meetings, reviews and stakeholder calls happen in shared windows, with async handover for the remaining work.
Who owns the intellectual property we build together?
You do. Contracts assign IP created for your project to your company. Our engineers work on your repositories, under your policies, and we sign NDAs and confidentiality terms as standard. Occasionally we use our own frameworks that are subject to specific ownership terms. When that applies, we discuss it openly, communicate it clearly and capture it in the contract.
Why choose the Philippines instead of India or Eastern Europe?
Strong English, a large experienced IT workforce, openness to Western clients, and stable dedicated teams in modern delivery centers like Clark. With German-led management, you get cost efficiency without the churn and communication friction common in large generic outsourcing markets.
How does your team integrate with our in-house developers?
We embed into your tools and rituals: your Git repos, Jira or Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, code review rules and sprint cadence. Your Axesscom engineers are not a black-box vendor, they are an extension of your engineering organisation with the same Definition of Done.
What happens if an engineer leaves the team?
We plan for continuity. Knowledge is documented in your systems, access is controlled and we maintain bench depth in Clark for backfill. Average tenure on client teams is measured in years, and replacements are onboarded through a structured handover, not a cold swap.
Can we start with a small pilot before scaling?
Yes. Many clients begin with two or three engineers on a defined scope, prove delivery quality and culture fit, then scale the team as the roadmap grows. A pilot is the recommended way to evaluate fit before a long-term partnership.
How do you handle security, access and compliance reviews?
We support vendor questionnaires, ISO-oriented security practices, role-based access, MFA, VPN or zero-trust access to client systems and audit-friendly logging. We have experience with German procurement, legal and IT security review processes.
What cultural differences should we expect?
Filipino teams are collaborative, respectful and service-oriented, with direct English communication. German clients often value structure and clarity, we bridge this with German project leadership, written agreements on process and regular transparent reporting. Most clients find the combination smoother than expected after the first sprint.
Do you replace our internal IT department?
No. We augment it. Axesscom is a long-term engineering partner for product development, platform work and AI initiatives, not a helpdesk or a low-cost replacement for internal IT operations unless that is explicitly scoped.
How we work, pricing and delivery.
Beyond outsourcing decisions: teams, technology, AI and how Axesscom operates day to day.
Are you a typical outsourcing company?
No. We are an engineering company with dedicated teams, not a body shop. Our engineers work on your products only, use your tools, and typically stay for years rather than rotating between clients every few months.
How quickly can a team start?
Usually four to six weeks from signed agreement to a working team. That covers recruiting, matching engineers to your stack, and onboarding them to your processes and toolchain.
Where is your team located?
Our engineering delivery center is in Clark Freeport Zone, Philippines. German management handles client relations and strategic oversight. Teams overlap with European business hours daily.
What technologies do you work with?
.NET, Java, React, Angular, Blazor, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and AI tooling including LLMs, RAG, agents and MCP. We match engineers to your existing stack rather than pushing a fixed toolkit.
How do you handle AI projects?
AI is part of how we build software, not a separate product line. We integrate models into existing systems, build agent workflows where they make sense, and ship with monitoring, fallbacks and guardrails suitable for production.
What does pricing look like?
Dedicated teams on monthly rates per engineer. No hidden fees, no bench charges. Contact us for a proposal based on team size and seniority mix.
Can I visit your office?
Yes. Clients are welcome at our Clark Freeport Zone office to meet their team in person. We also run on-site workshops in Germany for planning and architecture sessions.
How do you ensure quality?
Code review on every pull request, automated tests in CI/CD, architecture documentation, and regular demos with your team. We apply the same engineering discipline our German clients expect.
